Swiss Chard and Rotini with Red Sauce

This is a classic, fast and easy dish in our home. I’ve mentioned before that the kids frequently request kale in their spaghetti… well, chard works just as well. Typically I save our Swiss Chard for a chicken broth potato soup but tonight it found it’s way into our pasta.

You’ll Need:
1 bunch of Chard, finely chopped
1 Onion, chopped
2 cloves of Garlic, chopped
Oil
1 jar of Tomato Pasta Sauce
1 box of Rotini Pasta (I use whole grain)

While pasta is cooking, saute the onion and garlic in oil. When they are translucent, stir in the chard. When chard is slightly wilted and vibrant in color, add the pasta sauce. When sauce reaches a boil, remove from heat. When pasta is finished cooking, add it to the sauce and mix well. Serve with a smile.
